Never done that in other houses (we always kept them white) but for some reason here I thought it would be fun since we used such a tame color on the walls in the foyer but still wanted it to feel fresh and not too neutral.

This looks so beautiful – and the door just looks like it was meant to be that EXACT color of blue next to the art!

How did you guys decide to paint the inside of your front door blue – and have you ever painted just one side of your exterior doors in your previous homes?

The title of this painting is “Stay Awhile”… what a fitting place to hang it- near the door. Y’all seem like the type of people who welcome family and friends into your house… and encourage them to do just that- stay awhile. Cheers to you both!

I’ve been in my house for over four years and I have only put up a couple of pictures and no curtains. I want to, but my walls are cement and I haven’t yet bought the hammer drill I need to put holes in the wall to hang things.
