The comment is harsh and assumes a lot, but I know as a long time reader, I was amazed at the mix of emotions I had too. A credit to you all, we readers definitely get invested. I can totally see the perspective of “wait, they bought ithe new house 6 months ago, so all those projects were just for resale? I was so excited to see the evolution/ use of (fill in the blank).”

Of course you make the choices that are right for your family first. But I totally was surprised at my confusion, shock, disappointment, etc. Ultimately the prevailing emotion is excitement and cheering you on as you embark on this next adventure.
